Advising Inbrain Neurolectronics’ leadership team on how to best illustrate their innovation and articulate their strategic vision.
Inbrain Neuroelectronics is a Spanish startup that develops innovative brain-computer interfaces using graphene, to help treat patients suffering from neural disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, or speech impairment.
We have been working with the firm’s leadership team since 2022, providing strategic design support on developing their narrative and defining their brand and product identity.
Inbrain operates in a highly competitive field characterized by lengthy research and development cycles. Perception is therefore critical in valuing the company’s technology and business potential.
We started by supporting Inbrain's CEO in a complete overhaul of its pitch deck ahead of investor roadshows, addressing both the equity story and the visual expression of the presentation.
This greatly informed our understanding of Inbrain's mission, strategy, and value proposition. It enabled us to formalize the company's positioning and translate it into an artistic direction based on a solid set of concepts and values, around which we rallied the team.
We used this new platform as the foundation to design Inbrain’s product design and imagery, its new corporate identity, including its logo, brand and visual assets, and its new website.
Inbrain’s new brand direction focuses on conveying the firm’s potential impact on humanity in solving a problem that affects a third of the world’s population while highlighting its outstanding scientific expertise and technological depth.
In line with these conceptual pillars, we have developed a design language at the crossroads of high-tech aesthetics and soft shapes evocative of the human body.
Featuring a titanium casing and a flexible membrane encapsulating the coil, the entire product follows the curvature of the skull. The combination of over-molding, slender lines, and technical inscriptions creates a design with forward-looking features that embodies Inbrain’s ambition as a leader in the future of neurotechnology.
Visually, we created a coherent context for the website and corporate communication material to support these values, using dark tones and heavy contrasts to emphasize technicality and technology and produced photo and video assets inspired by scientific microphotography.
We connected the different levels of the company’s narrative by playing on analogies between electricity - the basic functioning principle of brain stimulation - and enlightenment, in reference to the start-up’s European DNA and its contribution to advancing progress for humanity as a whole.
Finally, we created a logo outlining the precision of the product and referencing the deep tech and digital dimension of the platform. We developed a graphic system suited both for Inbrain and Innervia Bioelectronics, its sister company and joint venture with Merck which invents bioelectronic therapies for the peripheral neural system.
